It's true. This years Best of the City sure didn't disappoint. The people of Victoria casted their votes for their favorite places, favorite spot to enjoy a drink, favorite place to sink your teeth into a mouth-watering burger, their favorite place to buy a hot tub, the best place to buy a new wardrobe, best place to meet a mate, best place for your pets and best local blog. This is the chance to show the world what Victoria holds, the little treasures that hide here on the West Coast and I couldn't agree with your choices more!

 

I was blown away when I received the email from the Black Press stating that I was up for a Best of the City nomination. I mean, wow! Victoria voted for me... I love doing this blog and my facebook page. I love to bring you up to date with what's going on in our lovely city and keeping you in the know on local events and where the best places are to shop! It was just such an honour to know that you, Victoria, appreciate it!

 

It was great attending the award event and to see familiar faces and congratulate my fellow Victorians. I am so proud to be apart of such a great community. Congrats to everyone that was chosen Best of the City 2013! Xo

PDA Fashion Show

 

PDA 2013 Annual Fashion Show, Saturday June 22, 2013

 

I attended the PDA 2013 Annual Fashion Show that was held at Uptown Centre and was invited BACK STAGE to meet the designers and my lovely friend Bexy, creator of the line Deadautumn!

 

 

I had a front row seat to see the ever inspiring first and second year PDA students showcase their collections and see their carefully chosen models walk down a 50 foot runway that made their creations come to life.

 

The students put on quite a show with a edgy, urban and dramatic flair! Here are some photos Terrance Lam.

Pacific Design Academy 2013 Fashion Show

Fashion Inferno 2012 Cheque Presentation & Inferno Date Release 2013

 

Last year was the first year that Capital Iron introduced the city of Victoria to Fashion Inferno. It is a Charity Fundraiser that had many great local sponsors and vendors show their support. StyleFeed Victoria, Bliss Boutique, Amelia Lee Boutique, Earls Victoria, Citizen Clothing and Ooh La La Cupcakes were just some of the amazing people that helped to raise $7,000 for the Victoria Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation.

Fashion Inferno is a night of music, shopping, food and fashion all for a great cause.

This years Fashion Inferno is going to be even HOTTER! We have StyleFeed Victoria, Capital Iron, Knickers Lingerie Boutique, Outlooks For Men, YAM Magazine, Wannawafel, Stephanie Macpherson, Black Eyed Creations and more supporting the event this year on August 15, 2013!

There will be VIP tickets available again this year, NOTE: They sold out FAST last year, and we will have scrumptious food, great shopping, live & local entertainment, DJ Neon Steve and Emcee's Jeremy Baker and Kerry Slavens!

One Of A Kind... The People & The Photo, For YAM Magazine

 

I had a hand in this amazing, one-of-a-kind photo spread for the upcoming July/August issue of YAM Magazine. This photo was taken at Capital Iron, a one-of-a-kind store and where you can find me most days! I had so much fun modeling for this shot.

Who Doesn't Love A Bargain?

It's that warm weather time of year. When the sun rises early and the weekend garage sales, yard sales and bargain hunting in general begin!

Who doesn't love a great deal? Also for those who have one... Doesn't it feel good to purge and have that extra space? Or, you are like me and just need some new closet space...?

 

There is a huge multi-family yard sale tomorrow, Saturday June 15th at 8am on Willow Street in Victoria, just off of Cedar Hill Xrd. I have a spot in this one and there are some great deals I am giving on some designer brands such as Jessica Simpson, Mad Love, Guess, DEX, Minnetonka Moccasin, DEPT, Forever 21, H&M, Ralph Lauren and more!

Grand Opening of Mayfair Mall's Pandora Store

 

The Pandora store opened their doors to Mayfair Mall on May 26th, but they are officially hosting their Grand Opening tonight.

I have been lucky enough to be invited by Bonnie Pollard herself and am sure to have an amazing time. Here is a peek at the invite and I will be snapping some great photos of tonight's event for you to see. I am very excited and can't wait to meet up with Bonnie again. She has amazing style and I know that we will be blown away with her evening presentation!
